From Pago de Carraovejas, El Anejon 2021 is a red wine from Ribera del Duero made from vines planted on a steep, terraced hillside at 870 metres. The vineyard is planted with around 80% Tinto Fino, with the remainder Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, giving this cuvée a distinctive expression of this high-altitude site. The wine opens with fine, delicate, spiced aromas and well-integrated oak. On the palate, it is supple and silky, with intense yet subtle fruit character and mouthfilling, very soft tannins. With time in the glass, more complex truffley and foresty nuances emerge, making it a compelling bottle for slow, attentive drinking.
