Berkeley Reynard the Fox Chess Set (cream and brown)  \n\n  Reynard the fox is a recurring character in a series of allegorical fables that date back to the Middle Ages. The stories were written by a number of authors - in numerous languages - and were often only loosely related to other Reynard works. Typically, Reynard was depicted as an anthropomorphic red fox and trickster figure who would deceive other anthropomorphic animals for his own advantage.\n\nThe skilled craftsman at Berkeley have bought these fables to life with this wonderfully detailed set of chess pieces. Made from ground stone resin, all the key characters from the stories are well represented.\n\nThis set features chessmen in cream and red shading. All the pieces are nicely weighted and have felted bottoms. Please note that a chessboard is not included.\n\nReplacement pieces can be sourced on request. Please contact us for the availability and quote.\n\nContains small parts. Unsuit7
