Anubias heterophylla is a tall, elegant Anubias from West Africa producing long, elongated deep green leaves that can reach up to 30cm in length. It sits usefully in height between the compact nana varieties and the very tall hastifolia, making it a striking midground to background option in medium and large aquariums.\nIt shares the same undemanding care profile as all Anubias: no CO2, tolerant of low light, and attached to wood or rock rather than buried in substrate. Growth is slow but reliable, and fish leave the tough leaves completely alone \u2014 even herbivorous species.\nRemove from the pot and attach the rhizome to hardscape using thread or aquarium-safe superglue. Do not bury the rhizome.
