With the Xpression 2000B Beam, Showtec puts an intressant LED movinghead on the market. No mixtures of RGB LEDs in this product, but pure colours thanks to the colour wheel. Through the 8- and 48-facet circular prisms, effects such as a moonflower can be simulated. In a large room, with a simpler moving head you might see your pan and tilt move a bit jerkily on the walls and floors - that 8-bit resolution isn't very great then. Not so with this one; the 16-bit resolution is much more detailed, and should be enough.
