The electric locomotives of the Ae 3/6? series were procured from 1921 to 1929 in several order batches. The locomotive 10664 originates from the SLM and BBC factory halls. Due to their long period of procurement, various technical innovations were installed. This increased the performance of these locomotives from 1,450 kW to 1,600 kW.
