Lactose 500g \nLactose (Milk Sugar) is non-fermentable by beer yeast and used to add sweetness, body and mouth feel to beers and wines. Ideal for back sweetening without over stretching the yeast. \nPerfect for adding body and a smooth creamy head to stouts (stout with added lactose is Milk Stout). \nAdd 500g to a 23L (5 gallon) batch or as instructed in the recipe. \nLactose does not easily mix with beer so either add at boiling or dissolve in water prior to adding. \n500g Bag for 23L
