This replaces the roller with a rubber roller made of for TPU, a thermoplastic rubber. This is abrasion-resistant, -stable and temperature-resistant. The advantage of this rubber roller is a significant noise reduction of the robot when driving over joints and edges on hard surfaces. Installation is relatively easy and quick and hardly requires any tools. The fitted ball bearings in the large roller further reduce the frictional resistance and possible friction of the roller on the shaft.
