This book presents a selection of stone inscriptions dating from the Sung dynasty to Ch'ing Periods along with translations found in the Fukien province. It focuses on local defense, social and economic events, local regulations, building of bridges and a customs office, and tomb inscriptions. > During the past few years, some 200 stone inscriptions have been copied by the Chinese historian Lin Renchuan ,.,tt {::..
