Corners a little bumped but although there is a little shelf-wear and slight discolouration at edges the boards are in rather good condition, with the binding quite firm. Flat-signed on inside of FFEP by author. Page edges and surfaces very clean, no underlining, marginalia, etc. Around half the book consists of plates, with 147 colour illustrations. A good copy and a collectable item for any steam locomotive lover.
