He presents two of BBC Radio Norfolk's top shows, one of them on his third love, country and western music. Each weekend he provides live commentary on Premiership football club, Norwich City, and makes it clear that his loyalties lie with the 'yellow and greens'. And he performs on stage at theatres and other venues across the county. Yet Roy is a very private manner, and not much was known about him until Grice Chapman Publishing persuaded him to write his biography. His story reveals a tough wartime childhood in one of Norwich's poores.
