Fingerponds are earthen ponds dug at the edge of natural wetlands and stocked naturally with wild fish during flooding. This study examines the management of nutrients and primary productivity in enhancing fish production in these systems in Lake Victoria's wetlands, Uganda. It also discusses the role of Fingerponds in ameliorating food security. > Fingerponds are earthen ponds dug at the edge of natural wetlands and stocked naturally with wild fish during flooding.
