First To Fight 1/72 Pz Bef Wg III Ausf D1\n\nGerman Medium Command Tank\n\n20mm Scale\n\nNew, sealed and unbuilt. \n\nRef No : FTF075 \n\nAn excellent example of an early production Panzer III Ausf D converted to a Command Tank role. The Pz Bef Wg III Ausf D1 was based on the Pz Kpfw III Ausf D with the main armament replaced with a dummy gun and the hull machine gun replaced with a pistol port. There were also extra vision ports on the superstructure. The large frame antenna was attached to the rear deck of the tank for use with the three radios used in the Pz Bef Wg III. Thirty two Ausf D1 variants were ordered with production running from June1938 to March 939. They served in the West during the 1940 campaign but were withdrawn by 1941 due to problems with the suspension.\n\nThis is a fast assembly kit designed for wargamers.
