The classical guitar as we know it today was not complete until around the year 1800. Only then did a standard guitar have six strings with a fixed tuning. Therefore, when a piece was composed for this instrument, it was done by pioneers, who were guitar heroes for the time. The music composed back then therefore sounds surprisingly modern for its time, and it is also easy on the ears. This book contains some of the consists of the best compositions by the greatest guitar heroes of the 19th century. These are listed in the book from easy to difficult, making it playable for everyone and making it a challenge to finish the book. This book also gives you a lot of interesting background information about the composers and the different styles. If you can't read notes you don't have to panic, because this book is also full of so-called TABs. All the information in this book is given in both Dutch and English.
