Can be used for a multitude of filter media, such as phosphate remover, chaeto, activated carbon and as a fluidised sand filter. \n\nBio pellets can be used with ease.. just remove the sponges and use the trays provided. \n\nIf the reactor is to be used as an algae reactor... with chaeto, removal of the sponges may be preferred. \n\nThe chaeto can be tied to the media trays, to keep it in place. Lighting wise for the algae, l would aim at 1.5m length of 5050 Waterproof (silicone covered) Leds, which should give you around 21w.
