Paiste's 2002 series was developed back in 1971, but is still a popular cymbal range. In that range, the extreme crashes occupy a place of their own. They are specially designed for solid playing styles, i.e. to withstand hard hits and a lot of volume. To this end, the B8 bronze has been given a heavy weight and extensive grooves and hammer patterns. The result is a warm sound with an explosive build-up and long sustain. This gives you accents that cut through any mix, even if the rest of the band is amplified so loudly. Like all 2002 cymbals, Extreme Crashes are made in Switzerland. This model is the 19-inch variant.
