Red Clover is a perennial low-lying plant which is native to Europe, including the UK. It grows well in sunny grassy areas, which is why you often see it in lawns and along grassy road-sides. The fluffy dark mauve flowers are loved by pollinators such as bees, butterflies, hoverflies, moths and beetles. \n \nRed Clover leaves and flowers make a tasty occasional addition to the greens diet of rabbits, guinea pigs and other small pets, as well as in moderation for tortoises. \n \nThese packets contain half a gramme of seeds, which is approximately 250 seeds. \nGermination rate is improved by either soaking the seeds for 4-6 hours (or overnight) to soften the outer skins, or by lightly rubbing the seeds between 2 sheets of sandpaper (known as scarification) to help break down the tough outer skins.\n\nIf you want to introduce it into a grassy area and give the seeds some protection from wildlife, first use a fork or an aerator to poke shallow (1cm) holes into th;
