Common Cat's Ear is a perennial low-lying plant which is native to Europe, including the UK. It grows well in sunny grassy areas, which is why you often see it in lawns and meadows. The small yellow flowers are loved by pollinators such as bees, butterflies, hoverflies, moths and beetles.\n\nCommon Cat's Ear leaves and flowers make a tasty addition to the greens diet of rabbits, guinea pigs and other small pets, as well as a tasty food for tortoises.\n\nThese packets contain 50 seeds.\n\nIf you want to introduce it into a grassy area and give the seeds some protection from wildlife, first use a fork or an aerator to poke shallow (1cm) holes into the soil and then sprinkle the seeds gently over the aerated area before patting the grass down gently with your hand or foot to cover the seeds.
