The short threaded shaft is useful when mounting to scratchplates and control plates to ensure the knobs do not sit too high above the body and its logarithmic audio taper allows the human ear can hear the volume change more smoothly. It has fine 24 spline mounting for imperial sized knobs and the knob mounting shaft is made from durable brass.
