The HVI Conductor is a high-voltage-resistant, insulated down conductor used for maintaining a separation distance from conductive parts, as per IEC 62305-3. This helps prevent flashover between external lightning protection system components and indoor conductive parts, such as electrical installations, pipes, etc. The Conductor, equipped with a special outer sheath, enables the discharge of high lightning impulse voltages to a reference potential to prevent creeping discharge. This grey HVI Conductor comes preassembled with one head piece and an earth connecting element. It is to be installed inside a tube, with an equivalent separation distance of 75cm in air and 150cm in solid material. Made of copper with a cross-section of 19mm², it has a seven stranded conductor of class 2 composition. It features an XLPE (VPE) insulation and has an outside diameter of 23mm.
