The HVI Conductor is a high-voltage-resistant insulated down conductor used for maintaining the separation distance from conductive elements as per IEC 62305-3, mitigating dangerous flashover between external lightning protection systems and interior conductive parts like electrical installation and pipes. It features a unique outer sheath that facilitates the discharge of high lightning impulse voltages to a reference potential, making it highly resistant to creeping discharge. This preassembled conductor is for installation outside of a tube and comes in black with one head piece and one earth connecting element. The separation distance is s ≤ 75 cm in air and s ≤ 150 cm in solid material.
