Graf Carat septic tanks efficiently extract floating and removable material from domestic wastewater through pure mechanical cleaning. Each tank requires 500 litres of capacity per inhabitant, processing wastewater in three days based on a 150-litre volume assumption. Tanks must have a minimum volume of 2000 litres. A 2000-litre tank supports 4 inhabitants, with an additional 500 litres needed per extra inhabitant. These tanks are low weight, installable in difficult conditions without a crane, and have reasonable purchase and installation costs. They require low maintenance, with cleaning through the shafts.
