This ready-to-use cake mix lets you create a delicious fruit cake, in just a few simple steps - follow the instructions included. Perfect to have on hand in your cakey cupboard for a quick and simple tasty treat. Available in 1kg and 5kg. Instructions: Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 1 / 140C. Line a 7” round or 6” square cake tin with baking parchment. Place the dry mix into a bowl fitted with a beater. Add 250ml/8.4 fl oz of water per 1kg of cake mix. Beat on slow speed for approximately 2 minutes. Scrape down the sides of the bowl, then mix for a further 2/3 minutes on slow/medium speed being careful not to tear the fruit. Spoon the mixture into your lined cake tin and bake in the centre of the oven. Bake for approx 2 hours or until a skewer comes out clean. If the cake looks like it’s browning too quickly turn down the oven temperature slightly. For larger cakes check regularly after 2 hours until baked. Just add water!
