You’ll love the whorls of pink and orange tubular blooms borne by Honeysuckle 'Gold Flame' throughout summer each year, with their irresistibly rich, heady scent. The fabulous flowers are followed by glossy, inedible red berries, which are loved by wild birds. This vivacious variety holds an RHS Award of Garden Merit for its garden performance and makes a lovely addition to walls and fences or can be trained onto pillars and pergolas. Unlike many climbing Lonicera, 'Gold Flame' doesn’t have naturally twining stems, so will require tying in to supporting wires. Although labelled deciduous, this woody climber remains semi-evergreen in sheltered gardens and during particularly mild winters, retaining its rounded green foliage year-round.
