Thompson & Morgan Foxglove Candy Mountain 1 Seed Packet (40 Seeds) from B&Q
Thompson & Morgan
A unique variety, this is the first upward facing foxglove from seed. This unusual characteristic enables you to see inside the rose pink blooms and their freckled throats. The rose pink blooms appear all around the sturdy and erect upright stems, and are ideal for planting in drifts.Sow January-May. Sow seed on the surface of a good, free-draining, damp, seed compost and place at a temperature of at 18-29C (65-85F). Lightly cover the seed with vermiculite. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 14-30 days. Do not exclude light, as this helps germination. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into trays or 7.5cm (3in) pots. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost, 45-60cm (18-24in) apart. An early sowing will occasionally produce flowers in the same year.Product Specifications: Hardy BiennialPosition: Full sun or semi shadeHeight: Up to 140cm (55in)Spread: Up to 45cm (18in)Supplied as Foxglove ‘Candy Mountain’ (Digitalis Purpurea) 1 packet (40 seeds)Images shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity.
