An annual which brings out the full flavour of meat dishes. Also useful in fish and tomato dishes in salads. Harvest August-October. Height 30-40cm (12-16"); spread 30-40cm (12-16")Growing InformationSow outdoors in April-May.Sowing InformationSow in a propagator on a windowsill or thinly in pots at approx. 18°C (65°F) using a quality moist compost. Cover the seeds with 3mm (1⁄8") sieved compost. Germination 14-21 days. Grow on keeping compost just moist in small pots and plant out in June. Alternatively sow thinly direct into finely raked, moist, warm soil at a depth of about 6mm (1/4").Thin seedlings to 23cm (9") between plants. Grows best in well-cultivated soil in a sunny position. The flavour of the leaf is stronger when grown in full sun.
