Commonly known as the Obedient Plant, 'Bouquet Rose' features upright, square stems topped with dense, spike-like racemes of tubular, bright rosy-pink flowers. It earns its common name because the individual flowers are hinged and will temporarily stay in whatever position they are pushed, making it an amusing novelty in the garden. This plant is highly vigorous and can become invasive if not kept in check, as it spreads rapidly via underground stolons. It thrives in full sun and prefers consistently moist soil; to keep it under control, divide the clump aggressively every year or plant it in a large, sunken container to restrict its roots.
