EDIBLE LEAVES - Oregano has an abundance of dark green, gorgeously aromatic and very slightly hairy leaves that in Summer form a gentle undulation but lies lower throughout Winter. During the Summer, clusters of tiny, tubular mauve flowers which transform it into a plant worthy of any border or to grow in decorative pots on a terrace.PLANTING POSITION - As a plant of Mediterranean origin, Oregano needs plenty of full sun with good drainage. It does best in a free-draining compost in porous pots such as terracotta pots. Oregano suffers in wet soil, so if you're planting it in the ground and have heavy soil, make sure you include a handful of grit to the planting hole.HEIGHT AND SPREAD - This plant will grow to a height of about 0.5 metres with a spread of the same size.
