About This Wire Work's Whisky As with every release of Wire Works Whisky, each stage of whisky-making for Caduro happens on-site at the Distillery. From mashing and fermentation through distillation, maturation and bottling. A full lifecycle of Derbyshire provenance. Caduro is bottled at 46.8%, and is a vatting of single malt whisky matured in a combination of American and French oak, both first fill ex-bourbon and STR Casks (re-conditioned wine barriques that have been shaved, toasted, and re-charred). Natural colour and non-chill filtered. Caduro is a complex, approachable single malt whisky in White Peak’s lightly-peated core house style. Green apple, banana and candy cane on the nose, with citrus zest, cereal and tobacco on the palate, and a warm, spicy finish with good mouthfeel and a wisp of smoke.
