Dark Briar is a bold and indulgent single malt that showcases the richness of sherry and Port maturation within the Lochlea core range. Inspired by the distillery’s Fallow Edition, it is matured in Pedro Ximénez, Oloroso and Port casks. Bottled at 46% ABV, natural in colour and non-chill filtered, Dark Briar is a dram with depth, indulgence and true Highland character. On the nose, expect aromas of sweet cherries, plums and vanilla caramel open into a palate brimming with red berries, warming tannins and spiced sweetness. The finish is long and luxurious, with notes of soft oak, baking spice and lingering richness.
