The series for Serax translates into tableware the role that the color green plays in the island’s unique aesthetic. A series of pieces captures the traditional green-painted windows and doors — and sparse, succulent vegetation — that create bursts of color in this otherworldly landscape. Each design is enriched with a unique texture — imprinted by the designer herself — that recalls volcanic formations. This set of two characterful espresso cups and saucers is defined by a deep sun-worn glaze and a rustic, artisanal silhouette.
