One of the smaller and more manageable Eriocaulon species, it is a favourite in detailed natural aquascape layouts where its unusual fine-textured form adds a unique and striking detail.\nIt is a demanding species requiring bright light and CO2 injection for healthy, sustained growth. Without CO2 or in insufficient light it declines and eventually fails. Soft, slightly acidic water is preferred and the plant does not perform well in hard or alkaline conditions.
