The double opening suggests a new way of organizing flowers. The Kink Vase was designed by Earnest Studio, founded by American-born Rotterdam-based designer Rachel Griffin. The Kink Vase combines traditional craftsmanship with modern technology. The seemingly simple shape has in fact been produced digitally. Earnest Studio explains: My starting point for the Kink vase was to explore how new forms can be created through the digital manipulation of simple shapes. The design of Kink thus combines modern technology with the traditional craftsmanship of ceramics, resulting in a piece that is both contemporary and sculptural.''
