Mirage 1/72 Pz Kpfw IV Ausf B\nGerman Medium Tank\n20mm Scale\nBrand new, sealed and unbuilt. \n\nRef : MIR72852\nThe workhorse of the Panzer Divisions serving from 1936 right through to 1967 in the Middle East, the Panzer IV started initially as an infantry support tank armed with the short barrel 7.5cm Assault Gun. As WWII progressed the Panzer IV was up armoured and up gunned, eventually replacing the Panzer III as the main battle tank of the Panzer Divisions.\n\nThe Ausf B was produced between May and October 1938 with 45 tanks running off the production lines. Improvements over the Ausf A were a more powerful engine, a 6-speed gearbox and thicker armour to protect against 20mm anti tank rounds. The front glacis was replaced with a flat panel and the hull machine gun replaced with a rectangular observation slit. \nThe Panzer IV saw service in Poland, France, The Balkans, Greece, Africa, Russia, Normandy and eventually Germany itself.
