RPM 1/72 Hotchkiss H39\n\nFrench Light Tank\n\n20mm\n\nBrand new, sealed and unbuilt. \n\nRef No : RPM72219\n\n \n\nThe Hotchkiss H35 was developed by the French in 1933 and entered service in 1936. Initially designed as an infantry tank it's all terrain handling was poor and it was rejected by infantry units. However, the H35 was accepted by cavalry units. The H35 had a crew of two, commander and driver. It was originally armed with the 37mm SA18 gun with 100 rounds and a 7.5mm Reibel machine gun. \n\nIn early 1940, some Hotchkiss were modified by fitting the longer 37mm SA38 gun. It is sometimes thought that earlier H35 modified with new engines which then had the new gun fitted were known as Hotchkiss H39.\n\nBy the start of WWII , 640 Hotchkiss had been delivered. The H35 serverd alongside Somua S35 tanks. After the fall of France, the Germans captured around 550 Hotchkiss and these were used in a number of roles from internal security to trainig
