IBG Models 1/72 41M Turan II\nHungarian Medium Tank\n20mm Scale\nNew, sealed and unbuilt. \n\nRef No : IBG72048\nThe Hugarian 40M Turan I was based on the Czech Skoda T-21 prototype and was produced in two variants - the 40M (Turan I) was armed with a 40mm gun and the 41M (Turan II) was armed with a 75mm gun.\nFollowing the annexation of Czechoslovakia, two T-21 prototypes - in turn based on the earlier LT vz.35 - were supplied to Hungary. Frontal armour was increased, the 47mm gun replaced with a Skoda 40mm A17 and machine guns were replaced with Hungarian 8mm Gebauer 34/40M guns. The main gun fired the same ammunition as the Bofors 40mm. Between 1941 and 1943, 285 Turan I were produced. \nTuran I served on the Eastern front around Stalingrad in service with the 1st and 2nd Hungarian Armoured Divisions.
