OFFERING A NEW PERSPECTIVE: The Masseria Altemura Estate is future-looking, offering a new perspective on Southern Italian Wines. Located in the Apulia region, the estate's vineyards enjoy a unique climate with abundant sunlight, sea breeze and terroir EMBODIMENT OF PRIMITIVO: A full-bodied red wine that fully embodies the strong personality of Primitivo grapes. It finds the right balance between complexity and density while offering a combination of freshness and softness. Best served at 16-18°C A SELECTIVE PROCESS: Harvested from select vineyards with some berries reaching over-ripeness on the vines, the grapes are then delicately pressed and destemmed before fermenting at an average temperature of 26°C. Aged for a year in Slavonian oak casks UNMISTAKABLE PERSONALITY: A wine of international success, it lets intense aromas captivate its nose, revealing notes which are reminiscent of plums and red fruit jams with hints of blackberries and completed by sweet spicy notes EXQUISITE TASTE: An enveloping palate that offers a considerable body backed by a pleasurable backbone of sweet tannins. Pairs well with full-flavoured first courses, grilled white and red meats, roast lamb, and matured cheeses but not marbled cheeses
