Distinctive Features : Barbera d'Asti is a transparent, limpid red wine tending towards a garnet colour; a wine with fruity aromas, which echoes multiple woody and vegetal nuances. On the palate it is dry and of remarkable structure, intense and persistent. Vinification: After the malolactic fermentation, part of the entire mass enters French oak barrels where it is refined. The remaining part will complete the maturation in stainless steel for the same period. After assembly and a further rest in stainless steel tanks, the wine is bottled and left to evolve. Territory: Barbera is a much appreciated wine which acquires value and remains one of the most debated varieties on Piedmontese tables. Its main characteristics are its medium-long vegetative cycle, its very high acidity and a dark and intense colour. The wine that "dirties the glass" and has always accompanied friendly meals. Grape Type: The bunches of this Barbera are hand-picked from the proprietary vineyards located on the land of the Asti area, which has all the distinctive features of the thick Piedmontese reds. As tradition dictates, this wine ages in wood and then completes its refinement in the bottle.
