First To Fight 1/72 155mm Schneider wz.1917\n\nPolish Field Howitzer\n\n20mm Scale\n\nNew, sealed and unbuilt. \n\nRef No : FTF082 \n\nBased on the Schneider's 152mm Howitzer, the Canon de 155mm C was produced from 1915. The Modele 1917 was fitted with a different breech which used bagged propellant instead of cartridge cases. The gun was towed by a team of 8 horses during WWI. The Canon de 155m had a rate of fire of 3 rounds per minute and a muzzle velocity of 450 metres per second. It was capable of firing a 96lb shell up to 11,300 metres (12,400yds).\n\nBetween the two world wars, the French sold the 155mm Schneider to several countries including Poland, Greece, Italy, Belgium, USA and Finland. Following the early WWII German victories, many 155mm Schneiders were captured many of which were later installed in 2nd line units and along the Atlantic Wall.\n\nWhether for wargaming or just building for display this brand new kit is a beauty.
