Moroccan Mint is a vigorous and highly prized variety cultivated specifically for the incredibly clean, sweet spearmint flavour found in its bright green leaves. It is traditionally used as the definitive herb for authentic Moroccan mint tea, as well as refreshing summer cocktails like mojitos, where its potent oils provide a cooling, aromatic kick. This plant is typically grown as a hardy perennial that forms a rapidly spreading clump, making it ideal for containers where its invasive roots can be contained. It is extremely tough and frost-tolerant, dying back in winter before emerging strongly again in spring. For the best results and lushest growth, plant it in a location with full sun or partial shade.
