RPM 1/72 Lorraine 38L VBCP 1940\nFrench Armoured Personnel Carrier\n20mm Scale\n\nBrand new, sealed and unbuilt. \n\nRef No : RPM72508\nA nice little kit of the much used French Lorraine chassis used as an armoured personnel carrier.\nThese tractors were supplied to both Infantry and Tank units with four supply tractors for each of the three Companies. By the time of the German invasion of France in 1940 there were 606 in service which was still not enough to equip the French army. The 38L VBCP was moidified by fitting a superstructure to the tractor which provided space for 4 men in the cargo bay, 6 in the trailer plus the driver and passenger. At the start of WWII, 9 vehicles from an order of 240 had been delivered. By June 1940 this had increased to 150 vehicles.
